Internal Communications Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. As an Internal Communications Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • You will be responsible for managing employee communications channels, including creating content, publishing, and delivering it to employees.
  • You will manage employee newsletters, townhalls, digital screens, the intranet, and internal social channels such as Yammer.
  • You will assist in the development and execution of a best-practice approach to enterprise or internal communications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop audience segments and collaborate with Technology and People & Culture to identify appropriate channels to support future ways of working.
  • Coordinate and support internal engagement initiatives including townhalls/webinars and Corporate Responsibility activities as well as any content production associated with these events.
  • Build an internal communications reporting framework to measure reach, readership, and engagement.
  • Develop insights and recommendations to ensure content and channels remain relevant and timely.
  • Support the Corporate Affairs team in the development and execution of the overarching communications and stakeholder engagement strategy and help align business unit or project stakeholder engagement with the broader corporate agenda.
  • Provide additional support on external communications as required, including daily media reports, brand positioning, and issues management.
Requirements:
  • Communications generalist experienced in internal comms channel development and management.
  • Experience in designing visual content tiles (Canva, intranet graphics, presentations, screen savers, digital screens).
  • Experience creating and integrating both BAU and transformation comms.
  • Proven track record in managing a broad range of stakeholders and the ability to rally people around a purpose, strategy, and transformation agenda.
