Job Title: Central SCADA Leader

Job Description:

The successful candidate will oversee the alarm philosophy and standards of the Central SCADA system in compliance with ISA 18.2 lifecycle requirements.

This role involves developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Master Alarm Database, ensuring it aligns with operational standards and enhances system reliability and safety.

The individual will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that alarms are meaningful, actionable, and prioritised based on their impact on operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Owner of Alarm Philosophy and Standards (ISA 18.2)
  • Develop and Maintain the Master Alarm Database
  • Conduct Alarm Rationalisation to Ensure Alarms Are Meaningful and Actionable
  • Regularly Review Alarm Journals to Continuously Manage Bad Actor Alarms
  • Design Interface Between Existing Non-Compliant Systems and Central SCADA
  • Ensure Each Site's Data Can Fit into New Standards and Create Mapping
  • Identify Ways to Improve Alarms Per Site Prior to Central SCADA Migration
  • Develop Cause and Response Metadata to Populate Alarms in Central SCADA
  • Provide Training and Support to Operations and Asset Maintenance Personnel on Alarm Management Practices
  • Actively Ensure Own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of Others
