Job Title: Dairy Farm Worker
Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to join our team. As a key member of our farming operation, you will be responsible for performing various tasks such as milking, attending to livestock, haymaking, and fencing.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate milking plant and equipment;
- Identify and report equipment not operating normally;
- Work cooperatively as part of a team;
- Read and record instrument information, e.g., Milk vat temperatures and cow numbers;
- Understand principles of safe working;
- Undertake multiple functions to produce quality outcomes, e.g., farm machinery operation;
- Maintain machinery, undertake adjustments, and size changes;
- Solve problems and make decisions within guidelines;
- Assist with processes such as machine repair, artificial insemination, and fertiliser mix design using general scientific terminology;
- Operate standard measuring equipment;
- Operate computerised systems using menu options;
- Contribute to team efforts and support other team members;
- Work independently when required.
- AQF Certificate II or III in Agriculture (or equivalent)
- At least one year of recent and relevant work experience
This is a full-time position which may involve weekend or public holiday work and some unplanned hours, paid accordingly. You will have the opportunity to work with a experienced team and develop your skills in dairy cattle farming.
