Claims Manager Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team. As a senior team member, you will provide coaching and handle escalations, playing a crucial role in helping injured workers return to work.
About the Role- Proactively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs
- Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy
- Assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations, and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery
- Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments
- Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within a similar scheme
- An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to provide customer-centric support
- A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management
- A team player who likes to work collaboratively and can also work independently
- To assess claims promptly and fairly, taking into account all relevant information
- To communicate effectively with claimants, employers, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed about progress and outcomes
- To negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a fair and timely manner
- Possession of a degree in a related field such as law, business, or human resources
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a similar role or industry
