Automotive Technician Role

You will play a pivotal part in maintaining and improving our service offerings by delivering top-notch preventive maintenance services to our customers.

About the Job
  • As a trusted professional, you will evaluate customer needs and perform essential maintenance tasks to keep their vehicles running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly document and perform work as outlined on repair orders adhering to dealership and factory standards.
  • Drain oil from crankcases and refill with the required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Regularly inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish or replace them as necessary.
  • Verify tire pressure and add air if needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop area at all times.
  • Be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
  • Operate all equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Perform work specified on the repair order in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Conduct thorough test drives of vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Provide clear communication to the Service Advisor regarding any additional services required for customers.
  • Offer accurate estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A strong eagerness to continuously improve and develop skills.
  • Entry-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair experience.
  • Strong physical dexterity and ability to work with tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • A positive and friendly attitude, along with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and specifications.
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
