St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne is a facility under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.

We deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing oncology and haematology treatments in our Day Infusion Services at our Fitzroy site.

The Role Overview

This role provides front-line support to both our Day Oncology Unit and co-located Oncology and Haematology consulting suites.

As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and reassuring environment while providing high-level administrative and clerical support to clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient bookings using MOSAIQ, ensuring compliance with protocols
  • Conduct pre-admissions and health fund eligibility checks via IBA
  • Prepare and distribute pre-admission paperwork and education packs
  • Liaise with pharmacy for chemotherapy drug verification
  • Coordinate tests and scans for patients
  • Process admissions and discharges using IBA
  • Support the broader nursing team with reception and general administrative duties

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a compassionate approach
  • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Proficiency in MOSAIQ, IBA, and deLacy systems
  • Experience in oncology/infusion or specialist rooms
  • Commitment to infection control and patient safety protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
