Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join our Public Sector claims team in Sydney. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office and involves managing a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients.

Main Responsibilities:

">
  • Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims;">
  • Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage claims costs, and negotiate with various third parties;">
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients;">
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers.">

Requirements:

">
  • Good written and oral communication skills;">
  • A strong customer service approach;">
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required;">
  • The ability to work in Australia.">

Bonus Qualifications:

">
  • Previous experience managing public liability / casualty claims;">
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Business/Commerce, Loss Adjusting or ANZIIF studies;">
  • Previous client-facing experience.">
