Key Role: Financial Crime Risk Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Westpac's Risk Division, where you will play a crucial role in detecting and deterring financial crime.

Job Summary:

  • You will handle inbound and outbound calls to support internal stakeholders and customers in managing requests for information from the bank.
  • Manage cases assigned by managers, applying analytical skills to tackle each case with a fresh perspective.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure seamless communication and case management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience including call handling is essential.
  • You must have an investigative mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Banking or financial services experience is desirable but not necessary.
  • You should have critical thinking and the ability to interpret information and make decisions.
  • You must be comfortable working independently and managing your own case load.
  • You should possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
