VRFish represents Victoria's recreational fishers. We work with government, community, and industry to ensure sustainable fishing, improved access, and a strong future.

The Position

We seek an exceptional Strategic Leader (SL) to provide strategic guidance and operational management of VRFish. This role involves travel across Victoria.

  • Lead advocacy efforts on behalf of Victorian anglers.
  • Provide authoritative advice to the Board and stakeholders.
  • Manage governance, financial, and reporting obligations.
  • Drive delivery of the VRFish Strategic Plan and Funding Agreement.
  • Develop partnerships, sponsorships, and networks advancing recreational fishing.
  • Oversee staff and contractors supporting a dedicated team.
  • Represent VRFish publicly, including media, forums, and engagement.
About You

We're looking for a leader combining policy expertise, financial acumen, and organisational management. You will bring:

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in financial management, governance, and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, engaging diverse groups.
  • Political awareness navigating complex issues.
  • Knowledge of recreational fishing desirable.
