The Australian Energy Market Operator is seeking a skilled Senior Analyst to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful contribution to the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate WEM registration processes and monitor obligations for the Reserve Capacity Mechanism
  • Support procurement processes for new energy and other market services
  • Work with Western Power to ensure connections of new and existing facilities are conducted in-line with regulatory frameworks
  • Undertake procurement activities for Supplementary Capacity and Non-Co-optimised Essential System Services (NCESS)
  • Contribute to the identification, analysis, and reporting of technical, operational, and procurement issues and risks
  • Support changes to processes, systems, and documentation as a result of regulatory changes or business improvement activities
Requirements:
  • Desirable degree in economics, computing, commerce, engineering, science, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years' experience in a commercial or regulatory environment
  • Industry experience undertaking complex roles for the electricity sector
  • Experience in procurement (tendering and contracting) will be well regarded
