Job Description

As a Systematic Global Macro Research Analyst, you will be part of our Sydney office team responsible for developing research and managing portfolios across various asset classes. Your primary focus will be on providing support to the investment team by overseeing systems and processes integral to our investment approach. You will also collaborate with multiple team members on solving quantitative investment problems.

The nature of our firm and our approach to research may not suit everyone, so we encourage you to carefully consider these factors before expressing interest in joining us.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A deep interest in solving complex problems and a strong desire for excellence.
  • An active desire to learn and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Strong coding skills, preferably with experience in Python and math-related packages like Matlab.
  • Familiarity with data providers such as Bloomberg, Datastream, and Factset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with database developers and other quantitative analysts.

We prefer candidates based in Australia but will consider those willing to relocate to Sydney. A PhD qualification is desirable, although we will also consider candidates with master's or bachelor's qualifications who possess relevant experience.
