We are partnering with a global, privately held investment firm with over 30 years of history as they look to appoint an Investment Specialist to their Sydney office. Our client has a reputation for high-conviction, contrarian investing. Managing over $40 billion globally, with a strong long-term performance record, they are known for their collaborative, research-driven culture and commitment to aligning its interests with those of its investors.

As an Investment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing investment guidance and support to wholesale clients, acting as the primary conduit between the investment team and the market. Working closely with both the sales and investment teams, you will translate complex investment insights into compelling and accessible narratives for clients, consultants, research houses, and media. Key responsibilities include developing high-quality sales presentations and tailored investment materials, responding to research house requests, managing the flow of data to investment platforms, producing monthly factsheet commentary, preparing investment updates for media releases, writing whitepapers, and delivering customised reporting for key mandate investor accounts.

We are looking for a senior professional with prior experience in equities, either from distribution, equities research or sales or an equities investment role. Ideally you bring 5+ years prior investment specialist experience, technical funds front-office sales, or equity analysts. You will bring strong technical investment acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to distil complex ideas into clear and engaging content. Attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong organisational skills are essential.
