Medical Services Leadership Opportunity

The role focuses on leading remote facility medical models of care, including College accreditation, recruitment and retention of rural generalist trainees, and clinical leadership for healthcare initiatives.

This is a training position accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA), subject to guidelines. Duties are defined at the beginning of each term through interviews with the supervisor and preceptor where possible.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leadership of medical services, focusing on quality improvement and patient outcomes;
  • Collaboration with healthcare professionals to develop and implement medical workforce initiatives;
  • Management of medical models of care, including planning, coordination and evaluation;
  • Development and implementation of strategies to improve access to healthcare services in rural and remote areas;
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:

  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA;
  • Specialist registration in another specialty is highly regarded;
  • Current RACMA Candidate or applicant for RACMA Fellowship Training Program (FTP);
  • Proof of qualifications and ongoing RACMA candidacy required prior to appointment;
  • Proof of vaccinations/immunity as per Queensland Health policy;
