Salary:

We offer a competitive salary package of AU$120,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.

Job Description:

This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the integrity, governance, and policies over the accounting data of the ASC group, ensuring compliance with all financial reporting obligations to stakeholders internal and external.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general and project ledgers, analysing and understanding costs to ensure alignment with direct project expenses throughout the year.
  • Prepare responses for annual customer audits and process journals accurately for projects and general ledgers.
  • Analyse monthly balance sheet reconciliations on assigned accounts and manage financial interests by adhering to finance compliance requirements.
  • Oversight of internal controls and governance frameworks ensures legislative and policy compliance from both perspectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies and develop systems and internal controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience at a similar level within a mid to large corporate environment or an accounting firm.
  • Hold CA or CPA qualifications or be studying towards full membership.
  • A sound knowledge and experience working with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and build strong relationships.
  • A current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance are required.
