Job Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tyre Technician to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out tyre maintenance on rubber tyre vehicles in an open pit environment. This will involve conducting regular inspections, performing planned maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify hazards, damage, and defects.
- Perform weekly inspections of tools to ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Maintain an adequate stock of spare wheels and conduct regular checks on HME tyres.
- Allocate parts to work orders effectively and review work tasks for improvement opportunities.
- Maintain open communication channels with supervisors and keep accurate records of tyre fitting and rim registration.
- Ensure sufficient stock levels of tyres and consumables and undertake any other required tasks to support operations.
About You:
- You will need at least 1 year of experience as a Tyre Fitter or similar role.
- You must be trade qualified with AUR21920 – Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology, up to Cert VI or equivalent.
- Previous experience with CMMS, tyre management programs, or similar software would be highly desirable.
- You will require a current, unrestricted Western Australian Class license.
