Job Title:

Tyre Technician

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tyre maintenance of all rubber-tyred vehicles in our operation. This includes checking tyre pressures, tread depths, and general running conditions on-site.

We require a highly skilled individual to perform regular inspections of work areas for hazards, damage, and defects. Additionally, you will conduct weekly inspections of tools to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

You will also be responsible for performing planned maintenance on open-pit fleet tyres and assisting with HME fleet repairs as needed. Regularly inspecting tools and equipment for proper functionality is also a key requirement of this role.

The successful applicant will maintain tyre-fitting records and rim registers in our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will also be required to ensure adequate stock levels of tyres and consumables.

Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in tyre fitting or a similar field;
  • Trade qualified with AUR21920 – Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology up to Cert VI or equivalent;
  • Previous experience with CMMS, tyre management programs or similar software;
  • Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class 'HR' Driver's Licence;
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork;
  • Good understanding of various machines including CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu models.
