At Hudson Australia, we are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial functions of our projects, ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial data to support effective planning and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance or a related field and have completed CPA Australia or CA. They will have demonstrated experience in a finance-related role, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and the broader finance team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and analyzing Project Status Reports, Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, variance reports against forecasts and budgets, and project reconciliations.
  • Managing, maintaining, and enhancing budgeting and forecasting processes, including coordinating finance contributions for the monthly Estimate at Completion and leading the development and review of annual budgets, five-year Integrated Business Plans, and monthly re-forecasts.
  • Evaluating weekly cash flow forecasts, supervising project billing, and ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines, policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
  • Improving processes for timely and efficient financial reporting, providing support to the Finance Manager and Accounting Managers, overseeing Foreign Exposure management to mitigate risks, and assisting in project risk management by tracking finance-related risks in the risk register.

About you:

  • Hold a degree in finance or a related field and have completed CPA Australia or CA.
  • Demonstrated experience in a finance-related role, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and the broader finance team.
  • Previous experience in a large project environment is highly desirable.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen; holds a NV1 defence clearance or ability to obtain.
