The role of the Home Care Assistant involves delivering individualized care and assistance to clients, enabling them to live in their homes and maintain a high quality of life. The Home Care Assistant monitors and reports on clients' conditions, assists with transportation, performs household cleaning, supports personal hygiene, prepares meals, and provides other health and wellness services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact in aged care services

  • A commitment to respecting the dignity and autonomy of all individuals, regardless of background or circumstances
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and computer skills
  • A flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing situations
  • Confident use of electronic communication and applications
  • Covid vaccination required
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • A Certificate III in Ageing, Certificate III in Individual Support, or similar qualification is desirable
  • A full driver's license and suitable transportation are also necessary
