Experienced Care Worker Position

This role involves providing home help services and personal care to our aged care clients. We are seeking a Cert III qualified individual with at least 6 months experience in a similar position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • General housekeeping and making beds
  • Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • Washing, folding and ironing laundry
  • Meal preparation and grocery shopping

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
  • Assisting clients to take their medications
  • Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
  • Providing social and emotional support
  • Providing transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
  • Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things

Requirements:
  • Australian Driver's Licence & own insured, roadworthy vehicle
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
