About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Program Director to lead the strategic direction, operational management, and cultural development of our sports program across all Melbourne campuses.

This pivotal leadership role will drive efficiencies, ensure the smooth coordination of sporting activities and events, and foster a high-performing sporting culture.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a comprehensive sports strategy aligned with our school's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sports strategy aligned with the school's vision, mission, and values.
  • Lead effective change management practices to support implementation of new initiatives.
  • Oversight of day-to-day operations of the Sport department, including financial management, scheduling, facility management, transport, and representation in Associated Public Schools (APS) and Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria (AGSV).
  • Strong people management and leadership to attract and develop talented team members, ensuring compliance and appropriate staff utilisation.
  • Proven program development to lead a diverse and inclusive sports program that promotes participation, skill development, and healthy competition.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership experience.
  • Significant experience in operational management and oversight of sport department operations.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Proven program development and implementation skills.
