Financial Accountant Opportunity

Talent Web is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Sydney-based finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Controller and contributing to key financial processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable: Process invoices, manage approval workflows, and coordinate payments for managerial review.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee the collection process and report on any arrears to management.
  • Payroll Support: Aid in compliance and reconciliation for fortnightly and monthly payroll processes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Prepare cash flow statements and manage expenditure control.
  • BAS Compliance: Assist in preparing BAS returns for the Australian and New Zealand regions.
  • Month-End Reporting: Handle financial data management, including revenue and liabilities, and prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheet reports, and reconciliations.
  • Year-End Financials: Provide year-end audit support, tax return preparation, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Candidate Profile
  • Substantial experience of a similar role within a finance team.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a logical, common-sense approach.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and modern GL systems (e.g. Xero)
  • Strong communicator, capable of working effectively with team members across regions.
  • High level of discretion for handling confidential information.
