We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Directional Driller. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills and knowledge in drilling operations.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced tradesmen and gain hands-on experience in various drilling operations. You will be employed by us and work day-to-day with our host employer to receive on-the-job training.

As a Trainee Directional Driller, your main responsibilities will include assisting the tradesmen in setup, reading and understanding DBYD plans, performing non-destructive digging (NDD), installing pits, drilling operations, tracking the drill head, managing water and mud, and driving trucks.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will have the support of our dedicated team and continuous mentoring to help you achieve your career goals.

Our host employer is a civil construction company specializing in underground services using horizontal directional drilling (HDD), excavation, and non-destructive digging (hydro excavation). They offer the latest equipment, highly experienced staff, and systems to tackle demanding projects.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to carry out repetitive heavy lifting and physical manual work, be willing to work overtime with occasional travel, be reliable and punctual, hold a current White Card and driver's license.

By joining our team, you will be paid to study a Certificate II in Drilling Operations through on-the-job training with a registered training organization.
