Join Our Team as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join our team at Northern NSW Local Health District. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our emergency medicine services.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time or full-time position, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits. As a Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive emergency medicine services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. You will also participate in quality improvement activities, provide clinical leadership, and contribute to the education and training of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality emergency medicine services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior staff
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Emergency Physician, and/or have overseas-trained specialist pathways. You will also need to demonstrate recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, effective clinical communication skills, and a commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
