We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist General Medicine Physician to join our team at Northern NSW Local Health District. As a key member of our Hospital in the Home (HITH) service, you will provide comprehensive Specialist General Medicine services to patients in their homes, while also contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and participate in quality improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for clinicians across multiple disciplines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of General Medicine
Requirements
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Medicine Physician
  • Demonstrated current clinical practice relevant to the Hospital in the Home Service
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership
  • Effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
