Job Summary

AECOM's 'Resources and Industrial' team in Brisbane is seeking an Electrical Engineer with ITS experience to support the delivery of various projects across the region.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the detailed design of projects across industrial, mining, and transport sectors using ITS and road lighting expertise.
  • Work with Tier 1 clients on projects, playing a key role in the design, construction, and commissioning of ITS and road lighting projects.
  • Support Senior Engineers in coordinating clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations for excellent project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with RPEQ (or working towards).
  • 4+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer with a focus on ITS, with sound knowledge of Australian standards and legislation.
  • Prior experience in electrical design, construction, and commissioning of ITS and/or road lighting projects.
  • Exposure to industry-standard software such as AGI, Perfect Lite, ETAP, and PowerCAD.
  • Experience in the heavy industry/transport sector with exposure to fibre optics, communication controls, traffic control systems, surveillance systems, variable message signs, and sensors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to advise and influence internal and external stakeholders.
