Wait Staff Job Description

The role of Wait Staff involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction and creating a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for efficient restaurant operation.
  • Create a smooth, efficient, and happy dining experience for customers.
  • Prepare tables, greet customers, present menus, and administer orders.
  • Understand and expand knowledge on available menu items and side dishes, providing optimal service.
  • Assist customers with selecting side dishes and drinks, communicating special requirements to the kitchen.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer orders to prevent billing discrepancies.
  • Provide assistance with cleaning tasks and maintain a friendly relationship with regular patrons.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries efficiently.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and customers for timely delivery of services.
  • Serve complete courses, including salad, drinks, and main course, and assist with extra replenishments.

Requirements:

  • Professional presentation and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Understanding of laws related to the organisation, including Liquor Act, Industrial Relations laws, and WH&S laws.
