Position Overview

Healthscope is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager within our Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery unit. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the unit.
  • Maintain collaborative and professional relationships with visiting medical officers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational leadership to ensure the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.
  • Oversee the daily management of human, financial, and material resources effectively.
  • Lead clinical audits and quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Engage in direct patient care as necessary.
Selection Criteria
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Working with Children check.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in orthopaedics, neurology, or surgical settings.
  • Availability to work rotational night shifts.
  • Previous experience as an ANUM, shift manager, or clinical nurse specialist is preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and adherence to ACQSHC National standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • High proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and various databases.
