Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Nurse Unit Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Knox Private Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the effective management of our Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical ward.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset.
- Provide clinical operational direction for the unit, ensuring efficient and effective management of human, financial, and material resources.
- Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources.
- Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Undertake direct patient care, as required.
- Current Registration with AHPRA.
- Working with Children check.
- 3+ years of orthopaedic, neurology, or surgical experience.
- Ability to work rotational night shifts.
- Current or previous ANUM, shift manager, or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable).
- Sound clinical knowledge.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive role modelling behaviours.
- Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation.
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment.
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases.
