Key Responsibilities:
  • Prune, thin, and remove deadwood from tree canopies at various heights
  • Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
  • Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more
  • Assist trimmers and forepersons in job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup
  • Abide by industry safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Understanding of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
  • Minimum 1 year of climbing experience
  • Certified Arborist or willingness to work towards certification
  • Strong tree, knot, and shrub identification skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Valid provincial driver's license and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset
