Business Analysis Specialist

This role is part of the Business Operations team, working within Government Shared Services to achieve efficient business operations and performance in line with organisational strategies.

The successful candidate will identify, analyse and document product and business processes, systems, and other functional requirements to support the delivery of business operations and performance in line with organisational strategies and operations.

  • Supporting projects that deliver financial, HR ERP projects mapping business capabilities to product features and processes.
  • Experience in supporting business transformation solutions, including flexible, scalable processes and technology that support efficient business operations.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and applying best practices to support efficient and standardised business operations.
  • Supporting change impacts, risks, issues and interdependencies across multiple project streams.
  • Business Analysis experience supporting complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders.
About the Team

The MyWorkZone Product & Business Architecture team plays a critical role in aligning technology solutions with business goals. This includes ensuring that the products delivered through MyWorkZone are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and strategically aligned with broader organisational objectives.

About the Role

This newly established team supports the delivery of the strategic roadmap to consolidate and harmonise shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.

  • A commitment to customer service and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and proposing business improvements and contributing to the development, facilitation, coordination and communication of initiatives and strategies to ensure organisational consistency and adoption of best practice.
  • Delivering targeted data driven insights into the underlying drivers of commercial outcomes to translate complex analysis into meaningful insights, develop appropriate recommendations and identify interdependencies to support decision making.
  • Investigating problems, analysing options and providing recommendations for new and existing services.
  • Identifying, analysing and translating business processes, technical functions and a broad range of data to enhance business performance.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting SAP HCM transactional services, ideally supporting large scale SAP HCM projects.
  • Extensive experience in supporting end-to-end HR transactional services (Payroll, Payroll Production/Reconciliation and/or HCM/OM) in a complex shared services environment with a diverse client base.
  • Business Analysis experience supporting complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders.
