Strategic Credit Leader

The ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading a credit department, driving performance and compliance alignment while fostering a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Credit Teams: Manage the credit department, ensuring smooth workflow management across teams.
- Align with Compliance: Partner closely with Compliance to ensure that assessment practices meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Support Team Leaders: Provide daily guidance on credit decisioning, systems, SLAs, and process improvement.
- Review & Empower: Oversee escalated credit decisions, coaching your team to grow their expertise and confidence.
- Drive Workflow Efficiency: Ensure effective workflow management across teams.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with stakeholders to enhance credit operations and customer outcomes.
- Proven leadership experience in Mortgage Industry or equivalent
- Experience in Home Loans and Consumer Lending with a strong understanding of credit systems and SLAs
- Strong people leadership and engagement skills with the ability to adapt to change
- Deep knowledge of credit systems, SLAs, and compliance
- A valid Delegated Lending Authority
