About this role

Airbus Australia Pacific is seeking a skilled Aircraft Surface Finisher to join our Richmond Maintenance team.

As an Aircraft Surface Finisher, you will work on providing aircraft painting services of both composite and metallic components in support of the CJ Hercules.

You will be primarily responsible for performing the painting activities while supporting operational units in Industry specific tasks, such as surface finish work on components, advanced structural repair, and aircraft or component repairs or modifications.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finisher
  • Experience in painting composite and metallic aircraft and components
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance preferred but equivalent industry painting experience will be considered, component maintenance and/or manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures
  • Good hand skills with materials and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Applicants must be eligible for an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening which may include criminal history checks and drug and alcohol screening.

We estimate the annual salary for this role to be around $85,000 AUD based on industry standards and location.
