About This Role


Aircraft Surface Finisher / Aircraft Painter


At Airbus, we're seeking a skilled Aircraft Surface Finisher to join our Richmond Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality aircraft painting services for both composite and metallic components.


You'll work closely with our operational units to deliver exceptional results, supporting tasks such as surface finish work on components, advanced structural repair, and aircraft or component repairs or modifications.


About You


We're looking for someone who's organized, diligent, and willing to learn. As a solution-focused thinker, you'll be agile in your approach to work and keen to take on new challenges.


To succeed in this role, you'll need:



  • Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finisher
  • Experience in painting composite and metallic aircraft and components
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance preferred, but equivalent industry painting experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Good hand skills with materials and hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Applicants must be eligible for an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening.
