Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Strategist to elevate our data strategy, teams and skill expertise.

This role combines deep expertise in database design and optimization with mastery of modern data engineering practices to uplift teams, strengthen governance, and steer towards becoming a truly data-driven organisation.

You will define, guide and execute our data strategy, ensuring databases, pipelines and data platform solutions are scalable, performant, secure, compliant with regulatory requirements and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective data strategy that aligns with business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution
  • Design and optimize databases to meet business needs
  • Develop and implement data pipelines and platform solutions
  • Mentor and lead engineers to drive success

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading data strategy and database architecture at scale
  • Expertise in relational databases (design, optimization, architecture) and familiarity with different data platform approaches
  • Strong background in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and distributed data systems
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for data engineering
