Child Health Specialist Role
The role involves providing healthcare services to improve the health, wellbeing, safety, learning and development of children and families.
This specialist will engage with families using universal and enhanced platforms, taking into account their strengths and vulnerabilities to provide timely contact and ongoing primary health care.
This comprehensive approach focuses on promoting, preventing and early identifying physical, emotional and social factors affecting children aged 0-6 years and their families in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering comprehensive evidence-based healthcare services to children and families
- Engaging with families through universal and enhanced platforms
- Assessing and addressing physical, emotional and social needs of children and families
- Developing and implementing healthcare plans to improve health outcomes
Requirements:
- Qualification in Nursing or related field
- Registration as a Nurse
- Experience working with children and families
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to assess and address complex needs
- Knowledge of child development and health promotion
