Canteen Supervisor Job

This role offers the opportunity to manage the daily activities of running a school canteen, providing fresh and healthy food to students and staff. Our canteen operates 5 days per week with shifts between 7:30am and 2:30pm during school terms.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the canteen, including planning, organisation and monitoring
  • Work collaboratively with the P&C to review and create new menus and prices
  • Implement policies and procedures
  • Supervise and train volunteers
  • Record keeping and money handling
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Supervisor Course Certification
  • Ability to supervise and work alongside peers and volunteers
  • Adept in working with and assisting children
  • Proficient at preparing healthy food, preferably in a commercial environment
  • Experience and/or qualifications in providing healthy food service, preferably to children
  • Efficiency in dealing with suppliers, maintaining stock levels, keeping stock records and reconciling accounts
