Core Responsibilities
- Assist residents in maintaining their independence and personal choices.
- Enhance the overall well-being of residents by addressing their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
- Implement care strategies as directed by Registered Nurses, ensuring adherence to individual care plans.
- Support residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities while promoting their autonomy.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to prioritize care delivery with compassion and respect.
- Exhibit kindness and patience, honoring the dignity and privacy of each resident.
- Commit to ongoing quality improvement in care practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
- Reliability in adhering to scheduled shifts and basic computer proficiency.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety protocols.
- Completion of Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or actively pursuing).
- Previous experience in aged care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Current NDIS clearance, proof of work rights, and up-to-date immunization records are required.
