Compensation and Benefits

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful applicant will provide breakdown and maintenance services to our clients in the southwest, wheatbelt and great southern regions. As a valued member of our team, you will participate in an on-call roster.

Salary:

$75,000 - $100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus overtime penalties, superannuation, tool allowance, sign-on bonus, on-call allowance, and annual remuneration reviews.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers across various industries, including agriculture, forestry, mining, automotive, and marine. You will complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products on breakdowns in the field and participate in the on-call roster.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver a first-class service to customers
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
  • Diagnose and repair various engines
  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

  • Mechanical trades qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)
  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of HHP heavy diesel products in field service - Cummins engines is highly preferred
  • Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities
  • Strong computer skills are highly desirable
  • HR licence and forklift licence are desirable
