Job Summary

Singtel Optus Pty Limited is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Architect to join our team. As a Cyber Security Architect, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect IT assets and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect IT assets and data.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to the IT environment, ensuring that risks are managed in line with government regulations and industry standard processes.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations, standards, and policies, including the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
  • Security Monitoring: Oversee the implementation and operation of security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to threats in real time.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
  • Access Management: Ensure proper access controls are in place and enforced to protect sensitive information and systems.
  • Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate colleagues and customers on security best practices.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Produce regular reports on security performance, incidents, and compliance status, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to ensure a coordinated approach to security.

Requirements

  • Australian citizen as the role requires clearance with AGSVA of NV1.
  • TOGAF and/or SABSA qualifications highly regarded.
  • Degree or equivalent experience qualified specialising in Cyber Security / Information Security disciplines.
  • Extensive experience working as a Cyber Security Architect.
  • Prior experience within a federal government or large complex organisation highly regarded.
