Medical Service Residency Opportunity

About the Role:
  • Order and follow-up of appropriate investigations are essential to this role
  • Day-to-day patient assessment, examination, and supervised management are key responsibilities
  • Contributing to a well-run unit – keeping results up to date for ward rounds and liaising with other members of the patient care team is crucial
  • Modifying therapy where necessary is an important aspect of this role
  • General ward work, including cover of all relevant patients during after-hours duty, requires strong clinical skills
About You:
  • Completion of one year of internship experience is required
  • Common, non-specialised procedural skills are necessary for success in this role
  • Interpersonal skills – communication with patients and relatives, teamwork with staff members, and counselling skills are vital
  • Basic skills of patient assessment and common, non-specialised medical procedures are expected

To continue developing clinical skills through medical education, applicants must have AHPRA General Registration or Provisional Registration.
