Primary Care Medical Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Care Medical Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary care services to residents of Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in general practice and experience working with aged care patients. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive medical history and undertaking clinical examinations
  • Arranging necessary investigations and implementing management plans
  • Providing preventive health care and conducting regular reviews
  • Contributing to health assessments and medication management

You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of care plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Vocationally Registered (VR) - FRACGP or FACRRM qualification
  • AHPRA registration and ability to work in Australia
  • M Medicare Provider Number
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Basic computer knowledge and good social and communication skills
