Career Opportunity: Bid Cost Manager
Job Description:- At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, our diverse customers benefit from the broadest portfolio in the industry.
We'll look to you for leading cost estimation activities based on target cost approach with all participating units and colleagues, and benchmarking against similar materials/services.
You will define the cost structure for the bid according to RFP (terms and conditions, etc), sales requirements, etc.
- Preparing costings during pre-tendering phase, based on product cost database and return of experience from project execution.
- Supporting the manager in the preparation of the IFQ (Instruction For Quotation), in accordance with pricing strategy.
- Leading collaborative work with Finance Tender Manager to optimize Financial costs, and to improve overall competitiveness of the bid.
Key responsibilities include analysing numbers and costing to support business decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A sound understanding of numbers and costing is essential for success in this role.
