Job Title: Industry Engagement Specialist

 

The Industry Engagement Specialist will play a crucial role in coordinating operational outcomes, focusing on apprenticeship attraction, preparation, placement, and retention. This position requires an individual with exceptional communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and strong time management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage database entries for all contacts and communications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain relationships with secondary school career teachers, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), Job Networks, and government agencies.
  • Assist in building partnerships with industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, government entities, and training providers.
  • Support promotional activities through educational programs and career expos.
  • Update job vacancies and expand the company's reach to new employers in the field.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices, helping them navigate their careers.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database platforms.
  • A high level of motivation, a positive attitude, and a drive to achieve results.
  • Strong communication and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and deliver outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the construction/trades and VET industry would be beneficial.
  • A current driver's license is required.
  • Working with children card must be obtained.
