Job Title: Critical Communications Specialist

Job Description

The Critical Communications Specialist is the primary point of contact for customers when there is a service disruption, request or change.

This role involves monitoring and maintaining the integrity of all Managed Public Safety Network services managed by BAI Critical Communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Alarm monitoring and surveillance of the Public Safety Network in a 24/7 NOCC Environment
  • Responsible for Operations and Maintenance of all the Network associated services and systems
  • Effective management of all Incident, Problem and Change Management cases
  • Proactive Event Management and Incident response to prevent Service Availability Interruptions
  • Directly liaise with Emergency Service Organisation (ESO's) and Agency customers as required to resolve any faults or issues

This specialist will also analyse incidents/problems, provide efficient and effective solutions for restoration within SLAs, escalate promptly Service Availability faults or hazards as required to on-call Duty Manager and manage all service outages and faults with relevant vendors/third parties

Additionally, this role requires ensuring Customer Dashboard notices and communications are always kept up to date.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires you to thrive and adapt well in a pressured and changing environment, while building and establishing strong relationships at all levels.

You will be a quick learner where you enjoy gathering information and advancing your technical knowledge.

In addition, you will have experience in an operational or technical environment with experience of IT/Telcommunications/NOC Network Management/P25 Radio, having a strong ability to analyse complex data.

A solid working knowledge of ITIL and advanced technical proficiency in Telecommunications are essential for this role.
