About The Role

As Team Leader, you will direct and coordinate all functions within the assigned area of Production to ensure high performance standards are met. This includes ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met and taking responsibility for the security of the building and stock. You will also oversee maintenance and use of equipment and technology in the department, including automation systems and warehouse management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate store personnel and teams to optimize picking, packing and order fulfillment across distribution centre zones.
  • Manage department operations and policies to maintain warehouse standards, quality control and meet performance targets.
  • Oversee equipment and technology to improve efficiency, safety and environmental goals.
  • Recommend investments and coordinate operations to enhance efficiency, safety, environmental goals and meet quality and budget targets.
  • Assist with labour planning, recruitment and training, establishing work schedules, monitoring and evaluating team performance.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure inbound flow is achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with warehousing, handling and shipping regulations by staying updated on relevant legislation.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and hygienic work environment by enforcing health and safety standards and monitoring security protocols.
About You

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Business Administration, Warehousing and Logistics preferred but not essential.
  • Understanding of LEAN concepts.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experience of Safety 1st Culture, working in an Automated warehousing environment, workflow planning, people management principles and practices, information technology skills and valid Forklift Licence - Counterbalance experience desirable but not essential.
