We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at Griffith University. The successful applicant will conduct cutting-edge research on the differences between females and males in how they respond to cell transplantation therapy for repairing spinal cord injury.
The primary focus of this role is to determine the biological differences between females and males during initial spinal cord injury and during repair processes. Our team is testing a cell transplantation therapy in human clinical trials, and we need to ensure it is optimized for both females and males.
To be successful in this project, you will require a collaborative approach to research, the ability to work independently and as part of a large team, and a drive to contribute to science. A scientific background in neuroscience and cell biology is desirable, and you will have evidence of a passion for conducting basic and translational research.
Requirements- You must have completed or expect to complete a bachelors degree with honours equivalent to first-class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component.
- International applicants must meet English Language Proficiency requirements, which include a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS (Academic) or equivalent.
We offer a competitive salary of $40,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
In addition to your salary, you will receive access to state-of-the-art research facilities and a supportive research environment.
