Job Title: Clinical Lead in Mental Health Support

Description:

The HASI Plus program is seeking a skilled mental health professional to take on a clinical leadership role within a multi-disciplinary residential service. The successful candidate will work independently, showing initiative and guiding clinical practice with clarity and compassion.

About the Role:

  • Develop proactive interventions that empower individuals to better understand their mental health, build resilience, and integrate into the community.
  • Lead a team of professionals to provide high-quality care and support to participants.
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals and community networks to expand choice and support for participants.
  • Embed recovery-oriented practices into every aspect of care.
  • Deliver training and education to build the capacity of non-clinical staff and strengthen the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with confidence, working independently and guiding clinical practice with clarity and compassion.
  • Apply deep understanding of mental health interventions to support meaningful outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships, collaborating with allied health professionals and community networks.
  • Champion recovery, embedding recovery-oriented practices into every aspect of care.
  • Empower others, delivering training and education to build the capacity of non-clinical staff.

Selection Criteria:

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or other allied health disciplines recognised by the sector.
  • Eligibility for membership of the appropriate professional body.
  • Specialist mental health skills and experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to assess performance deficiencies and invoke effective programs for improvement.
  • Advanced understanding and demonstrated application of recovery-oriented services.
