Job Title: Specialist Mental Health Clinician

The role of the specialist clinician is to provide comprehensive mental health services to patients with a range of complexities, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • Be responsible for assessing and managing patients in the community who are subject to a Community Treatment Order (CTO).
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of doctors in training and medical students where applicable.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of individual patients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have a caseload of approximately 120 patients and will be well supported by other clinicians as part of a close-knit team. The team comprises psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, healthcare support workers, and psychological therapists.

The role requires the ability to work effectively within the MPFT Living Our Values Framework and demonstrate clinical leadership skills through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
