Job Overview

Maintaining a strong reputation for academic excellence, Mount Lawley Senior High School invites applications for a Program Coordinator - Technologies position. This esteemed educational institution offers an extensive range of curricula and boasts robust partnerships with parents and the broader community.

The Role

We seek a dedicated leader to join our leadership team as Program Coordinator - Technologies. As a pivotal member of the Schools Leadership Team, you will provide visionary curriculum leadership in Technologies and collaborate with fellow Program Coordinators and School Administrators to implement the Western Australian Curriculum.

A successful candidate will have experience teaching Technology subjects (Design and Technology, Home Economics or Computing) and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities will include leading the Professional Learning Community across your learning area and driving improvement plans informed by student performance data.

Key responsibilities will also involve fostering relationships with parents to facilitate student learning and ensuring transparency about student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic curriculum leadership in Technologies
  • Collaborate with fellow Program Coordinators and School Administrators
  • Lead the Professional Learning Community across your learning area
  • Analyse student performance data to inform planning
Requirements
  • Hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights
  • Be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • Possess a valid Working With Children Check and Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit
