
Public Library Service Coordinator

The Library Officer plays a vital role in delivering high-quality library services to the community. Reporting to a supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and evaluation of library programs and events for various age groups. You will also provide direct customer service and enhance customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of library programs and events, including digital literacy programs, storytime sessions, book clubs, and author talks.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools and community groups to build relationships and engage them with the library.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch library under supervision of a senior officer.
- Ensure there is an appropriate range of stock and library resources to meet local needs, contributing to collection development by assisting with selection and accessioning of library resources.
The successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in a public library setting, demonstrating strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements:- Completion or progress towards completion of a diploma in library and information services or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience delivering educational or recreational public programs for diverse audiences.
- At least 2 years' experience working in a public library.
- Experience in quality customer service provision.
